LANSING, MI — A motorcyclist not wearing a helmet rear-ended a small CATA van on Thursday afternoon in Lansing that left the rider with fatal injuries, according to Lansing Police. His name was not immediately released.
The northbound and southbound lanes of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between Haag Road and Hughes Road were closed for a time around 4:20 Thursday afternoon, Lansing Police say.
Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA) officials confirmed to the Lansing State Journal one of its Transdev vans was involved in the accident but declined further comment. It said its driver is cooperating fully with the investigation.
