EAST LANSING, MI — A 43-year-old man who police say shot and killed three people on the Michigan State University campus and wounded five others Monday night is dead. Police say the supsect killed himself as they approached him overnight near the intersection of Lake Lansing Road and Larch St. on Lansing’s north side.
MSU police interim deputy chief Chris Rozman says the unidentified suspect had no connection to the university. The school has closed its campus for 48 hours.
The suspect (pictured) opened fire killing three people and critically wounding five others on campus. The first shooting was reported at 8:15 p.m. Monday night at Berkey Hall. A second shooting occured at the MSU Union a short time later.
