LANSING, MI — Another day and another ramp closure in mid-Michigan. This one is tied to the massive construction project on US-127 in Lansing.
The Michigan Dept. of Transportation says the EB I-496 ramp to US-127 will be closed from 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning until 3:00 p.m. that afternoon. This is part of an operational shift in roadwork. A detour will be posted for eastbound I-496 traffic heading for southbound US-127. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to seek alternate routes.
This project is part of the $205 million investment to rebuild US-127/I-496 from I-96 to I-496 to address safety concerns and improve vehicular movement, according to an MDOT press release.
