EAST LANSING, MI — The days of leisurely cruising down the heart of East Lansing on Grand River Ave. are about to end. Traffic is about to be nuts again as nearly 50,000 Michigan State University students descend upon campus this week for the start of undergrad classes on Monday.
This year, residence hall move-in begins today (August 19) and continues through Aug. 21. You can expect to see the mass migration of U-Haul moving trailers to begin today, MSU officials say. They remind students that they must select a move-in time through their student portal to ease congestion. The school also asks that students arrive in one vehicle if possible.
There is even a move-in webinar that students can watch for helpful tips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oSt4mL0CxA
Some MSU students are already in class on campus. For instance, vet students at the MSU School of Veterinary Medicine started classes yesterday.
