LANSING, MI — Catholic Charities of Ingham, Eaton & Clinton Counties (CCIEC) has announced that Joe Garcia has tendered his resignation as Chief Executive Officer, according to a Friday press release from the organization.
“During his tenure, Joe led the organization through a major merger and rebrand, strengthened donor relationships, and helped advance our mission of serving children, families, refugees, and
others with compassion, accountability, and faith,” said CCIEC board president Lizzie Fisher. “We thank him for his service and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.”
CCIEC’s programs and services will continue uninterrupted, thanks to the dedication of its talented staff and the steadfast support of partners and donors, the Lansing entity says in the press release.
The organization is currently under the leadership of the Board of Directors and interim CEO, Deacon Bob Bauer, who is working to ensure a seamless transition.
“In the weeks ahead, we will commence a search for our next CEO,” Fisher said. “This transition is an opportunity for renewal and growth, and we look forward to building on our strong foundation as we continue to serve our community with love, generosity, and dignity.”
