EAST LANSING, MI — MSU students will be facing higher costs for housing and dining at Michigan State University next school year. The MSU Board of Trustees today voted to approve a 5% increase for residence hall rates for new and returning in-state students.
The board’s approval brings a $267 housing increase for students in double rooms, and a $379 meal plan increase if a student selects the silver meal plan, according to a press release from the school.
MSU says students in a double room and on its silver meal plan will pay $13,574 annually — a $646 increase.
