LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A coalition of 22 attorneys general, including Michigan’s Dana Nessel, have sent a letter opposing proposed changes they say will undermine the Affordable Care Act.
They say it will make it more difficult and expensive for people to enroll in health coverage on federal and state exchanges, and bans Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients from buying health insurance on the exchanges.
The coalition says the proposed ACA changes would cause between 750,000 and two-million Americans to lose their coverage in 2026.
Nessel says Michigan families “are already facing rising prices, and these alarming changes proposed by the Trump administration would only make health care even more expensive by increasing out of pocket costs for everyone.”
