LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Former Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox is officially running for the Republican nomination for governor in 2026.
Cox was attorney general from 2003 through 2011 and is a U.S. Marine veteran.
His plans include eliminating Michigan’s income tax, overhauling public education, and restoring Right to Work. Cox last ran for governor in 2010, coming in third in the Republican primary behind Rick Snyder and Pete Hoekstra.
