LANSING, MI — Looking for a safe, convenient, and anonymous way to dispose of unneeded or expired prescription medications? In Michigan, National Drug Take Back Day is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at many temporary and permanent collection sites.
All 31 Michigan State Police posts across the state are participating, according to a press release. Many local pharmacies, Kroger for example, will host drop-offs.
At most locations, officials will accept tablets, capsules, patches, and other forms of prescription and over-the-counter drugs will be accepted. Syringes and other sharps are not accepted, according to the press release.
