HOLT, MI — The Holt Pop-Up Pantry at Holt Public Schools is accepting food and monetary donations to help ensure local families who need a little help this time of year can enjoy a holiday meal with all the fixings this year.
The Pop-Up Pantry is accepting both monetary and food donations at the Holt Public Schools Administration Building, 5780 W. Holt Road, or any Holt Public school office, according to a press release.
Food donations desired include canned fruit and vegetables, instant potatoes, stuffing, canned tuna or chicken, beans, rice, cereal, oatmeal, peanut butter, granola bars, applesauce, canned soup or stew, evaporated milk and bottled ju
“Our district does great work to help others who need it this time of the year,” said Dr. David Hornak, superintendent of Holt Public Schools. “We are proud of our students, staff and educators who are committed to giving back to our community during the holidays and beyond.”
Community members can also drop off a check payable to Holt Public Schools with “Pop-Up Pantry” in the memo line.
The Holt Pop-Up Pantry is already at capacity for the number of holiday meals it will provide, with about 300 people expected to be served. For more information, please call (517) 699-7075.
