LANSING, MIĀ — The cold weather keeps hanging on, so the the City of Lansing says it extend its Code Blue winter weather emergency plan through the middle of next week. Code Blue allows local shelters to temporarily increase capacity and alter hours.
The Code Blue will remain in effect from daily from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. each day. It runs through Thursday March 5.
In addition, the Capital Area Transportation Authority will provide free rides to warming shelters for those in need. If you need shelter, call 211. CATA will provide free rides to warming centers.
