EAST LANSING, MI -Breakfast joint Bruegger’s Bagels has closed its storefront along East Grand River Avenue across from the MSU campus and just east of Raising Canes.
According to a story in the Lansing State Journal, the space will reopen by this summer as Einstein Bros. Bagels. The move is reported to be part of a plan by Panera Brands, which owns both chains, to rebrand Bruegger’s Bagels. All Bruegger’s Bagels locations in the state are expected to transition.
Bruegger’s Bagels says on its website that it serves authentic NY style bagels. It opened its first locations in 1983 in Troy, New York.
