LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State University trustee Rema Vassar is suing MSU president Kevin Guskiewicz, the university’s top lawyer, board of trustees secretary and four current and former trustees.
Vassar says they discriminated against her because she’s Black and also retaliated against her for speaking out against the actions.
She threatened to sue in May for over $25-million, but the lawsuit does not have a dollar amount or name MSU or the board as defendants.
Vassar’s term on the MSU board of trustees expires January 1st, 2029.
