Downtown Lansing Inc. announces the return of Lansing Winterfest in February, a month-long celebration encouraging locals and visitors alike to come out and celebrate the winter season in Michigan’s Capital City while supporting local businesses. During February, the community can head to Downtown Lansing each Saturday to enjoy free winter activities, themed events, local food, shopping and more.
Winterfest will kick off with its Winter Block Party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, where Downtown Lansing will transform into a winter playland. The free event will feature fun ice sculptures with live sculpting from local artist Scott Miller and the return of the Hungry Hungry Hippo human tournament - a fun interactive team game hosted on the city’s winter skating rink at Reutter Park. Other activities include s’mores and hot cocoa stations, winter games, family activities with local vendors, live music, an evening Fire & Ice celebration and more!
