Lansing police said no arrests have yet and they do not believe this was a random act. The investigation into the situation, and what led up to it, is ongoing. LANSING, MI — The 14-year-old killed in a shooting in Lansing on Saturday was a student at Lansing Eastern High School.
The 14-year-old has been identified as Jaquez Moye-Young. He was shot near the 1400 block of Oakland Avenue not far from University of Michigan Sparrow Hospital’s St. Lawrence campus. This is the fifth homicide in Lansing in recent months.
