NEW YORK — The Michigan State men’s basketball team came up big against its first big time opponent this season. The Spartans scored an 83-66 win over Kentucky at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.
The Green and White attack was led by Jaxon Kohler with 20 points. Kohler hit 8-of-12 shots from the floor and a pair of 3-pointers for his first career 20-point game, while adding five rebounds and two assists. State was up by 17 at the half.
Michigan State returns home on Friday, Nov. 21, hosting Detroit Mercy at the Breslin Center. The game tips at 6:30 p.m. and will air live on BTN.
