THREE RIVERS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two Democratic candidates for the U.S. Senate in Michigan joined striking United Auto Workers union members on the picket line in Three Rivers yesterday.
Congresswoman Haley Stevens marched with them yesterday afternoon outside of American Axle, and state Senator Mallory McMorrow joined them last night.
Employees say American Axle is not offering them enough pay in their contract talks and say the 50% pay cut they agreed to in 2008 to save the facility has not been restored.
