MASON, MI — After nearly 50 years serving the Mason community, the Mason Big Boy has announced it will end operations later this month. Here is the restaurant’s recent post on Facebook:
For generations, Mason Big Boy has been more than just a restaurant. It has been a place where neighbors became friends, families gathered after church, kids celebrated birthdays, teams came in after the big game, and countless cups of coffee were shared around the table.
To our loyal guests, dedicated team members, both past & present, and the entire Mason community thank you for making Mason Big Boy more than just a place to eat. You didn’t just support a restaurant, you gave it a heart, a soul, a story to tell.
As we prepare to say goodbye, we invite you to stop in and enjoy your favorite Big Boy classics one more time. Whether it’s the Signature Big Boy Double Decker Cheeseburger, Slim Jim, Blockbuster Breakfast, Strawberry Waffle, or Hot Fudge Cake, we’d love the opportunity to serve you and help create one last memory together.
Our final day of business will be Thursday, June 25th.
The iconic Big Boy statue has stood as a symbol of family, comfort, and tradition. Though our chapter is coming to an end, we hope those Big Boy traditions and memories will always bring you a smile.
From all of us at Mason Big Boy, thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives and your traditions. It has truly been an honor to serve you and this amazing community.
With love and gratitude,
The Mason Big Boy Family
