LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan House Democrats say the 42nd House District, currently represented by Republican House Speaker Matt Hall of Richland, is in play in the November election.
They are spending $700,000 on advertisements for Democrat Nick Rowe following a poll by Patinkin Research Strategies showing Rowe has a 49%-to-48% edge over Hall.
The Speaker had led the poll 52% to 44% until voters were given additional information about both candidates.
Of the people polled, 30% approve of Hall’s job performance, 43% disapprove of it, and 40% say they want a different representative.
