LANSING, MI — UM Health-Sparrow is partnering with Pinnacle Dermatology to host free skin cancer screenings for active and retired Lansing Fire Department members, firefighters from across the region and Michigan State Police personnel.
The free screenings will take place from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Tuesdsay Sept. 22, in tirst-floor lobby of the Herbert-Herman Cancer Center, 1140 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing.
This marks the third year that the Lansing Fire Department has participated in this important screening initiative with UM Health-Sparrow, according to a press release.
“We are honored to help expand the event this year to include retirees and members of the Michigan State Police for the first time. Firefighters and troopers face unique occupational exposure risks that make regular skin cancer screenings especially important, and UM Health-Sparrow is committed to supporting the health and well-being of our dedicated public servants,” UM Health Sparrow said in a press release.
