LANSING, MI — The Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget says it has selected a 60-foot spruce from Iron Mountain in the Upper Peninsula as Michigan’s official 2026 state Christmas tree.
The tree will make its debut in all of its holiday splendor at Silver Bells in the City in downtown Lansing on Friday night Nov. 20.
The tree was donated by the Larry Riccio family, according to a press reelase, and is expected to be harvested in early November and arrive in downtown Lansing on Saturday, Nov. 7. Crews from the Lansing Board of Water and Light typically do the holiday decorating of the tree.
