Oct 2 (Reuters) – India’s Maxivision Super Specialty Eye Hospitals, backed by healthcare-focused buyout firm Quadria Capital, has confidentially filed for an initial public offering, a newspaper advertisement showed on Friday.
• Reuters had reported in July that the eye-care chain had appointed ICICI Securities and IIFL Capital as bankers for an IPO that would include a mix of newly issued shares and stock sold by existing investors.
• India’s confidential filing mechanism allows companies to submit draft IPO papers to the market regulator without public disclosure, keeping financial and operational details private while seeking regulatory approval.
• Founded in 1996, Maxivision operates more than 90 centres across six states, and competes with chains including Dr. Agarwal’s Health Care, Centre for Sight and ASG Eye Hospitals.
• India’s eye-care market is projected to grow to $31.2 billion by 2033 from $12.8 billion in 2025, according to Grand View Research.
